Nurseries & playgroups

Since August 2002, free pre-school education places have been available in East Ayrshire for parents of all 3 and 4 year olds who wish their children to attend.

Pre-school education is a crucial stage in a child’s development and helps children to learn as they play. A good quality pre-school experience builds on the valuable learning that takes place in and around the home, prepares children to start primary school and develops the learning and other essential skills which they will rely on in later life.
