Benefits are changing - are you ready?

From 1 April 2013 benefits will be changing.

Planned benefit changes:

April 2013: Housing Benefit payment adjusted for under-occupancy levels.

Impact: possible reduction in amount of benefit awarded.

April 2013: Scottish Welfare Fund established to replace Community Care Grants and Crisis Loans for living expenses.

Impact: East Ayrshire Council will administer payments instead of DWP.
