Mayoral honour is a family affair for community stalwart

A COMMUNITY champion with strong family links to Redcar & Cleveland is preparing for her greatest honour - when she is formally installed as the Borough's Mayor.

Councillor Denise Bunn will proudly wear the civic robes for the first time at a special investiture ceremony tomorrow (Thurs).

She succeeds Councillor Olwyn Peters, who completed her term in office last week after raising thousands of pounds for local good causes.

Although raised and educated in Redcar, Councillor Bunn was born in Guisborough and has lived in the town for 34 years.
