Council waste bid is successful

Residents in Dudley borough are set to benefit from improved waste services following Dudley Council’s successful bid for £1.8million of government funding.

The Department for Communities and Local Government announced today that the council is one of the 85 local authorities across the country that have been successful in their bid for weekly collection support funding.

Dudley Council will use the funding to provide additional vehicles, boxes, bags and operatives in order to extend the plastic bottle and cardboard recycling trial to all households in the borough.
