Beko recalling faulty fridge freezers

The electrical appliance manufacturer Beko is issuing recall notices for certain models of fridge freezer, following a blaze in a tower block in Bermondsey - believed to have been caused by a faulty model. A poster is now available for partners to print and use in receptions and communal areas to make customers aware of this recall.

Fire chiefs are urging people to check any fridge freezer model(*) made between January 2000 and October 2006. They are particularly concerned about fridge-freezer fires, as they develop rapidly and produce very toxic smoke. This information has been posted on all RP websites
