Swine Flu Advice via Looking Local

When swine flu first hit the headlines back in April, Looking Local partnered with NHS Choices to provide DiTV and mobile customers with the latest advice. This information was available to DiTV viewers across the UK for free and has been well used.

As one of only a handful of partners that NHS Choices syndicates content to, Looking Local was well placed to move on this quickly and the result was well received by our local authority partners.

Now with the virus spreading, renewed advice from the Department of Health and the amount of demand for this advice (requiring the launch of the new pandemic flu centre), Looking Local has secured an new, updated feed of advice via the partnership with NHS Choices. Instead of static content, the advice will be taken from the Teletext service and updated automatically.
