Free Access Looking Local on all TV platforms

Looking Local is really pleased to announce that our service on Sky is back to being on a freephone tariff. This means there is no charge for customers accessing Looking Local on either Sky or Virgin. This is great news particularly for the digitally excluded, as they are often people without a great deal of disposable income.

Looking Local Operations Manager Guy Giles said: "We were well aware of how important this development was for our clients and their customers, and are pleased that our developing relationship with DirectGov has enabled us to make this happen."

Over the years Looking Local has received numerous comments from users saying that the free access to the wealth of local and national services available on Looking Local has meant they have saved money both in terms of not paying for phone calls and travel expenses. In particular these comments come from job seekers across the country using the Jobcentre Plus service available via Looking Local often for long periods of time without worrying about the cost.
